Saona's Senior Season

The first time I used a digital camera was at an NFA basketball game. I had no clue how the thing really worked. I was using a tiny 8M card, and had the camera menu settings pretty badly set. But I enjoyed watching some great hoops, and got a few shots that weren't too awful. Taking photos in high-school gyms is a challenge when you know what you're doing... it wouldn't be until after the basketball season until I really knew what I was doing. Please take that into consideration when viewing these, as they are from extremely small files -- that is, they are not high quality images. But they'll give you a small glimpse of Saona's senior year.

Local sportscaster Ron Adams can be seen at mid-court in the background doing live-radio play-by-play for this big game against New London, an ECC rival and state-ranked team. New London played furiously, going into half-time tied; before NFA took control in the second half.

NFA Starters: Kristin Kropp, Ashley Ferra, Krista Rappahahn, Saona Chapman, and Courtney Gomez (#12). Courtney started for the injured Hannah Sheppard through the first part of the season.
